Built in 1921 and renovated in 2018 by Hillcrest, the Walnut Building offers authentic industrial artist studios featuring much of the building's original character with stunning industrial windows, classic exposed brick, and polished concrete flooring. The combination of industrial and contemporary design make The Walnut Building the new star of the Arts District. Each home is designated live/work and has purposeful design features including Caesarstone counter tops, stainless steel Samsung appliances, spa like deep soaking tubs, and top of the line LG washer/dryers in each unit. The building also boasts landmark local works including interior art by Cyrcle, and an exterior mural by Vhils.
Featuring dramatic ceiling heights, unobstructed city views, sundrenched spaces, and high end modern finishes, The Walnut Building offers authentic industrial artist studios with the highest level of comfort, services, and amenities downtown LA has to offer.
The Walnut Building is a collaborative community bringing art, production, and creatives together in one special place. We host onsite cocktail hours, screenings, public art in common spaces, installations, and collaborative events with local businesses.
Our community features an onsite gym, two rooftop patios, outdoor lounge areas, video conference and meeting rooms, as well as onsite parking and onsite staff. All of our units are equipped with state of the art kitchens, appliances, and in-unit washer/dryers.
We offer parcel delivery services, pick-up drop-off dry cleaning, in-unit bi-weekly maid service, bi-weekly onsite car washes, pet grooming and walking services, and much more. Please join us for a tour of our community. We look forward to meeting you!
